Sow a Seed is a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering women through skills development, counselling, and enterprise support. We believe that every woman deserves the chance to heal from past experiences, build resilience, and create a sustainable livelihood.

Leadership

Nothando Mhlambi
Founder

Chairperson and founder of Sow A Seed with a heart for community and a desire to harness creative talent among rural/township youth and women. She started the initiative motivated to tackle the pervasive problems affecting our communities. Nothando has a background in Marketing and extensive corporate sales experience

Zanele Dube
Skills Development Practitioner

Heads the fashion design programs for youth and women at Sow A Seed. She has extensive skills facilitation/training and moderation skills which she imparts with due diligence, with her quality assurance background to further propel the impartation to the beneficiaries at levels of supreme excellence.

Keitumetse Ivuanov
Arts Facilitator

Is an amazing, warm and kind hearted spirit with a knack for the arts in a plethora of genres. She is the head arts facilitator for the prison reform program for the organization and has had a fair share in the system, with a great understanding of the multitude of issues women in the prisons experience and has a huge desire to see change for released women that were incarcerated.

Nonkululeko Shelton
Counsellor

Is a phenomenal counsellor and a huge believer that Africa will rise through healing and spreads her love for mental wellness throughout the programs in place. She studied psychology at SACAP and is currently completing her Masters.
